Bosque Del Apache Nov. 11 - Nov. 16 2020

Serious wildlife and bird photographers both agree, Bosque Del Apache is a bucket list destination.  Whats interesting, they keep coming back for more.  There are not many locations in the US where you can experience so much in such little time.  The ability to photograph thousands of birds in one flock that will take off and land several times throughout the day is endless. We will bring our clients to the right locations at the right times to ensure they get multiple opportunities to capture specific bird behaviors.  We will also search for other photography opportunities, especially tracking and photographing the diverse raptor and bird populations throughout the park.  We will take full advantage of the amazing lighting in the mornings and evenings while leveraging both wide angle and zoom lenses to capture both the dynamics of the flock, small group engagements, or isolation of single subjects.

Each year there is a Festival of the Cranes, the weekend before Thanksgiving.  This is a crowded event that adds major competition to the photography spots as well as adds severe vehicle traffic. That is why we chose to get there well before the crowds in mid-November. This gives our clients a huge advantage to engage the massive collection of birds with little to no pressure.

Tom is an expert at photographing wildlife across North America, Africa, Canada, and Alaska.  He shares his expertise and photography skills with a passionate and simplified approach. If you have been searching for a trip to capture an enormous amount of birds, with photography support while having everything taken care of, don't miss this amazing opportunity

Objectives for the Trip:

  • Create a learning environment where we get both you and your camera ready for the many types of wildlife and nature photography opportunities we will experience. There will be several working sessions in the field to help you improve your photography skills and practice anticipating and reacting to both animals and the environment in which you are shooting.
  • Visit locations that place our photographers in the best viewing areas to capture animals in their natural habitat; including Birds, Deer, Javelina, and many other animals as presented. Our focus will be early mornings and late afternoons in locations that give our clients the best chance to photograph at designated, safe distances.
  • We are authorized park permittees in all government regulated locations we visit, this includes National Parks and Wildlife Refuges.  Be careful booking any trip with travel companies that cannot provide proper documentation, it can end your trip very quickly.
